My Story: I remember the first time I saw my peers dance. My middle school held a graduation dance for us in the school's cafeteria. It wasn't swing, but it looked like so much fun; I was too self-conscious to join in. I knew something had to change.
I started going to raves in high school. Everybody else was on drugs, so they didn't care what I looked like. That helped me get over my fear of dancing.
I started swing dancing in college. I had a huge crush on Emily (who I knew through choir). She was part of the swing club, so I joined too.
I moved to Pensacola, FL for flight school and took my first Lindy Hop workshop before I had even unpacked. I've been hooked ever since.
Lindy Dandy is my blog and I also post on LindyShopper.com
